5 New Restaurants in Waltham: What Just Opened, What's Coming in 2017
Including one hotly anticipated steak house.
WALTHAM, MA – The restaurant landscape in Waltham is always growing and changing. It was no different this year, and odds are that's not about to change in 2017.
Several new businesses are slated to open in the area in the coming year. And there's a few ones new to the block that might've flown under the radar.
Here's a look at five restaurants we're looking forward to visiting in 2017:

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Wayne Brasco, chairman of the Licensing Department in Waltham, told Patch he's heard Ruth's Chris plans to open Jan. 1 at 500 Totten Pond Rd. after initially projecting a Dec. 1 opening date. Meanwhile Waltham Newswatch reported Thursday that the steak house is eyeing a "late January opening."
BonChon
Korean fried chicken chain BonChon is poised to open its fifth Massachusetts location on Moody Street, according to a post on the Bring Retail to Waltham Facebook group. The restaurant will take over the former J & N Joke Shop space, Boston Restaurant Talk reported. Editor's Note: No official date has been given for when BonChon will open.

Peters Greek Kitchen
The eatery opened Dec. 12 at 1056 Main St., the former Café Angelinos space. It includes a revamped interior and all-new menu featuring Greek dinners and appetizers, gyros, sandwiches, brick oven and specialty pizzas, calzones and more.
Brewer's Tap & Table
Brewer's Tap & Table sits 250 people at its space at 256 Moody St. and offers a selection of globally inspired dishes, 48 craft beers on tap and bourbon ranging from the classic to the obscure. Opened in the fall.
ChillBox Frozen Yogurt
Though very little is known about if and when it'll open, the city council did approve a permit for the Greek frozen yogurt shop on South Street in August.
