Mount Auburn Hospital Announces Three New Members to Board of Trustees

Mount Auburn Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to their Board of Trustees. These new members include Debra S. Shapiro, M.D., William S. Wilson, and Kenneth S. Barron, all of whom were appointed in late January.

Debra S. Shapiro, M.D.is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and practices Internal Medicine at Reservoir Medical Associates in Cambridge. She is a Past President of Mount Auburn’s Medical Staff, and has a long association with the hospital, dating back to her residency training more than twenty years ago. Dr. Shapiro is also a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School.

William S. Wilson is an attorney in the Boston office of Greenberg Traurig and has been an Overseer of Mount Auburn Hospital since 2008.  As an attorney, Wilson has extensive experience in various areas of commercial real estate, pension funds, investors and developers.  He also provides counsel on mortgage and loan transactions, real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and commercial lease negotiations.

Kenneth S. Barron, is the Managing Director of Global Relocation and Client Services at CORT Global Network, as well as a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Massachusetts.  He has been a member of the Barron Center for Men’s Health Advisory Board at Mount Auburn Hospital since 2004. Barron was named the Communicator of the Year in 2007 by Global HR News, and in 2010 received a Cambridge School of Management Teaching Award and a Community Service Award from the City of Cambridge.

“We are fortunate to add these three skilled professionals to our Board of Trustees. There is no question that they will add much to the future success of the hospital and most importantly, to the patients we serve,” said Jeanette Clough, President and CEO of Mount Auburn Hospital.
