Belmont Savings Bank Foundation Supports Elder Money Management Program

Hal R. Tovin, Chief Operating Officer of Belmont Savings Bank, presents grant to support Springwell's Money Management Program

Hal R. Tovin, Chief Operating Officer of Belmont Savings Bank, welcomed Springwell’s Kathy Barrett and Beth Schultz to receive a grant from the Belmont Savings Bank Foundation in support of Springwell’s Money Management Program. With help from this grant award, more than 60 low-income elders and adults with disabilities will benefit this year from the program. Volunteers provide monthly in-home assistance with routine money management tasks; provide guidance on how to stretch one’s budget; and educate about dangerous money scams. Belmont Savings Bank Foundation has been a sponsor of Springwell’s Money Management Program since 2002.

“Grants from community-minded businesses are a lifeline for our Money Management Program,” says program coordinator, Kathy Barrett. “This program is provided free to vulnerable, low-income elderly and disabled residents, thanks to the generosity of our corporate donors. We are especially grateful to Belmont Savings Bank Foundation for their tremendous support.” To learn more about the Money Management Program, call 617-926-4100 x201 or email kbarrett@springwell.com.
