This restaurant has been a favorite destination for Indian food lovers since the 1980s.
While some restaurants and cuisines seem to come and go along Moody Street in Waltham, a few have endured. One of them is , which has been in business for more than 20 years. In fact, it was one of the original Indian restaurants that began the revival of Moody Street and its reputation as a destination for ethnic dining in the 1980s.
Don't-miss dishes: The place serves authentic northern Indian food, which is less spicy than southern Indian cuisine. Favorite dishes among regulars are chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and vegetarian curries. For the more adventurous, there are goat curries.
Worthy of mention: Bread enthusiasts will drool over 15 different kinds of breads, from chapati and papadum to garlic nan and tanduri roti.

Worthy of mention no. 2: The all-you-can-eat buffet is now offered seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Vibe: The atmosphere is quiet and unrushed, with patrons able to choose between two different dining rooms. And the Indian music in the background is unobtrusive.
