Do Waltham City Council Meetings Run Too Long?

The Monday, June 10 meeting of the City Council ran until 3 a.m.

It's not uncommon for city council meetings in any community to run on for many hours, sometimes even past midnight.

That was the case on Monday, June 10 when the Waltham City Council meeting ended at around 3 a.m. on June 11. The meeting technically began at 8:30 p.m., 30 minutes after it was scheduled to begin.

The agenda was packed with several lengthy public hearings on the Community Day Center and 1019 Trapelo Rd. among other things.
