Get Out: Karaoke, Quilting and a Road Race

- Where/When: American Legion 156, 215 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, Friday, 6 p.m.- 11 p.m.
- Why Go: Join the fun at the Rotary Club of Waltham’s 4th annual "Korporate Karaoke" night. Doors open at 6 p.m.; performances begin at 7 p.m. Come sing or just enjoy the fun and support local charities at the same time. The event includes celebrity judges, raffles and a cash bar.
- Where/When: Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St., Watertown, , 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.; , 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
- Why Go: The Quilters’ Connection annual quilt show features quilt-making demonstrations as well as over 200 quilts, ranging from classic to cutting edge.
- Pricing: Free

- Where/When: Waverley Oaks Athletic Club, 411 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, Saturday, 9 a.m.
- Why Go: Run this 4-mile course for a good cause. Celebrate the life of Michael A. Martin, a Waltham High School student and athlete who died in 2007 at age 51. A 12 and under Fun Run immediately follows the road race. T-shirts will be handed out to the first 150 registrants.
- Pricing: $15 pre-registration / $18 on race day
- Where/When: Payson Park Church, 365 Belmont St., Belmont, Saturday, 8 p.m.- 11 p.m.
- Why Go: Bring your friends or come meet new people and learn classic square, circle, and longways dances. A fun evening for teens and adults.
