Head of Waltham Firm Charged with Securities Fraud
The Framingham man was arrested last week.

Dan Thibeault, the president of Waltham-based GL Capital Partners, a financial firm, was arrested last week and charged with securities fraud, according to Boston Business Journal.
Thibeault allegedly created fake loans, including in his college roommate’s name, to benefit the firm, according to the report. When the FBI interviewed his college roommate, he had no idea about the fake loans or that he was over $300,000 in debt because of them, according to the report.
Thibeault used to work at Goldman Sachs. He graduated from Dartmouth College and received his MBA from Harvard University.

GL Capital Partners, based at 400 Fifth Ave., Waltham, has about 30 employees, according to Boston Business Journal.
