Middle Eastern music at the Waltham COA
The Neighborhood Concert Series at Powers Music School presents "Voice of the Turtle," Friday, April 10, at 1:00 p.m., at the Waltham COA.

The Neighborhood Concert Series at Powers Music School presents “Voice of the Turtle,” Friday, April 10, at 1:00 p.m., Waltham Council on Aging, 488 Main Street, with faculty members Lisle Kulbach and Jay Rosenberg and guest artist Ian Pomerantz.
The trio known as “Voice of the Turtle” will introduce audiences to the vibrant music of the cultural descendants of the Sephardic Jewish community. The audience will discover the sounds of several Middle Eastern instruments including the ‘ud, riqq, dumbek, kamanja, bouzouk, and more. The artists will lead the audience in song and percussive exercises.
