RCN Hits the Links for Bridge Over Troubled Waters
RCN Boston, the local telecomm provider serving 24 communities in and around the greater Boston region, hosted its 1st charity golf tourney

WAAF morning host Lydon Byers joined a few hundred golfers at RCN Boston’s annual golf tournament recently at Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland, Mass. The four-somes braved thunderstorms and tornado warnings to hit the links to benefit the Boston-based nonprofit Bridge Over Troubled Waters. At the awards ceremony, RCN VP and GM Jeff Carlson announced that they raised almost $16,000 for Bridge which provides services for homeless and at-risk youth. Bridge kid (client) Kevin Laplant spoke to the golfers about his personal struggle with homelessness and how the organization has helped get his life on track.
