Wednesday July 15, 2015 – Waltham, MA -- For Immediate Release -- Pavoh, the music nonprofit based in Waltham, has announced it is offering guitar lessons with instructor Sarah Fard again this summer. It’s not too late to register for affordable guitar classes for kids: Guitar Lessons are offered for individuals and small groups at 14 Spring St. Waltham, MA, for a six-week period starting July 20. Students learn to play popular songs right away to encourage self-esteem and early success. All students are encouraged to participate in the PavohJAM Open Mic series at the Waltham Boys & Girls Club on July 17 and August 14.

“Summer is a great time to try something new,” said Laura Lamere, Pavoh Founder. “Studies show that skills learned through the study of music transfer to school-related skills such as self-discipline while keeping the summer brain active.”
Studies confirm that kids can lose about 2.6 months of math skills and as much as two months of reading skills if they take a long break from learning. Residents in Waltham and surrounding towns are encouraged to visit www.pavoh.org to learn more about guitar offerings. Discounts are available.
The Pavoh Guitar Lessons instructor is Sarah Fard, an accomplished musician and music teacher. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from The University of New Hampshire, and a Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University. She currently works as a school music teacher in the Medford Public Schools as a guitar instructor, and has led guitar clubs in the Belmont, MA public schools.
