Update on Beaver Street Culvert Replacement Project
City engineers and Mayor McCarthy posted an update on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the city’s engineer and Mayor McCarthy posted an update to residents about the Beaver Street Culvert Replacement Project.
The updates as of Wednesday are the following:
- Another series of tests pits were done on the northeast corner of the project to verify the depth and location the shell oil and exon lines by R. Zoppo Corp
- National Grid installed a cctv camera in their pipe in front of #271 Waverly Oaks Road in search of reason for water getting into their gas main. They have found water in their pipe that is restricting the flow of gas toward Beaver St. This condition must be fixed in order for them to be able to abandon their line on Beaver Street.
- There was one police officer on duty Wednesday, and the sidewalk on the northerly side was temporarily closed while the work was going on. Zoppo was asked to create a temporary walk on the southerly side by removing some snow behind the delineators that we have out there, they did it so pedestrians would not have to walk in the street.
