Waltham Boy Scout from Troop 250 works on Eagle Project at Stonehurst
Boy Scout Eagle Project at the Robert Treat Paine Estate

Great turnout for Matt Schultz throughout the day today at Stonehurst, Troop 250 Scouts, leaders. Parents and friends all turned out to help Matt with his project. He was in charge and directed all of the work to clear a path, a new trail connecting the Hemlock and Wintergreen Trails at the parking lot, using No power tools, only hand tools and strong backs. Ann Clifford the Curator of Stonehurst was there working hard and supporting Matt as well. There were quite a few invasive plants removed, trees cut down and massive stumps removed all by hand all under the direction of Matt Schultz.
The Eagle Scout Service Project, or more simply the Eagle Project, is the opportunity for a Boy Scout to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community.
Great job today by all concerned and well done Matt Schultz for a well planned project.
