Waltham Man Indicted on Charges Related to Accident That Killed 82-Year-Old Man

A Waltham man was officially charged with vehicle homicide, said the Middlesex District Attorney.

A Waltham man has been indicted on charges in connection with an accident that resulted in the death of an 82-year-old Waltham man last year.

On Feb. 6, James Keating, 34, of Waltham, was indicted on charges of motor vehicle homicide, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance and causing serious bodily injury, and operating under the influence of an intoxicating substance, said the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

Keating was arrested in October, 2014, after an accident where an 82-year-old man was hit in Waltham, reported WHDH-Channel 7 News. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victim, Vitezslav Dorazul, was initially found lying on the road’s shoulder, reported Fox 25 News.
