Waltham Police Detective James Auld Wins Kevin M. Ritcey Award

The Kevin Ritcey Award for Outstanding Public Service was established last year to honor someone who has made a difference in the community.

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham police Det. James Auld is this year's Kevin M. Ritcey Award for Outstanding Public Service, the city council announced this week. The 36-year veteran of the Waltham Police Department was nominated by his colleagues as someone who has provided extraordinary public service to the city.

Auld will be recognized by the city council at a special meeting on May 8.

The Kevin M. Ritcey Award was established last year in honor of Ritcey, one of Waltham's most respected and highly regarded community leaders. It is presented to a Waltham resident who has excelled in public service to the city, the city council or the community.
