Waltham Preliminary Election Voter Registration Deadline Looms

Waltham residents who want to vote in the Sept. 17 citywide election must register by Wednesday at 8 p.m.

WALTHAM, MA — With contested races at mayor and three city council seats, there are several good reasons for Waltham residents to head to the polls for the Sept. 17 preliminary election. Those who want to have a say in the city's representatives are reminded, however, that Wednesday is the last day to register to vote to be able to cast a ballot in the preliminary election.

Voters must be registered by 8 p.m. on Wednesday to vote on Sept. 17. The citywide municipal election is Nov. 5. Wards 1, 2 and 9 have contested preliminary races, with three candidates on the ballot for mayor.
