Waltham Site of First Alcohol Task Force Hearing

The task force will host six public meetings throughout the state to guide legal and regulatory framework for the alcohol industry.

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham will host the Massachusetts Alcohol Task Force's first of six public hearings planned throughout May and June. The task force is an independent group of professionals appointed by state officials that reviews the legal and regulatory framework governing the alcohol industry in Massachusetts.

The meetings are open for consumers, industry leaders, business owners and trade associations to provide input on potential reforms. Those who have submitted position papers and statements through the task force website will attend and provide a brief presentation.

If you wish to attend, you may sign up in advance here. The public is invited to provide testimony, and speaking order will be determined on a first-come, first-serve basis, with preference given to those who submitted papers to the website.

The Waltham meeting will be held Thursday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Government Center Auditorium, 119 School Street.
