Waltham's New Substance Abuse Task Force Hosts First Event

State Senator Mike Barrett joins Reps Tom Stanley, John Lawn and Councilor Joe Vizard for the newly-formed Waltham Substance Abuse Task Force’s first community forum this weekend.

The forum on substance abuse and its impact on the community takes place on Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Waltham Public Library.

“The Task Force is charged with looking at substance abuse issues in Waltham with a particular focus on the opioid battle facing individuals and families in our community,” said Stanley on his Facebook page. “The forum will be an opportunity for the Task Force to introduce themselves to the community and allows those on the front lines of this epic to share their experiences addressing substance abuse and opioid addiction.”
