Weekly ESL Classes for All Levels Begin in Waltham, June 21

Experienced teachers offer free ESL classes, June 21 through August 2.

ESL (English as a Second Language) classes start Sunday, June 21, and run through August 2 for all levels, beginner to advanced, at Hope International Church (www.hopeic.org), 21 Bruce Road, Waltham, Mass. Classes will be held on Sundays, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no charge for the instruction, but there is a $95 charge for books due at the time of registration.

All students should arrive at 11:30 a.m. on June 21 to register and meet their teacher. New students will be given placement tests.

Students may register in advance by completing the registration form on the Hope International Church website, www.hopeic.org/threshold.asp, or calling the church at 781-891-5238 and leaving their name and phone number.

Led by experienced teachers, Hope International Church has been providing ESL classes for 27 years. Students learn vocabulary, grammar and idioms and have opportunities to practice conversation and participate in cultural events.

The church is one block from Route 20, across from Gore Place, on the Watertown line, and accessible by the No. 70 bus line.

Hope International Church draws visitors from many nationalities and Metrowest communities, area colleges and universities; shares its building with the Haitian church, Morijah Evangelical Church; and has helped to establish an Ethiopian church in downtown Boston and a Korean church in Ayer, Mass.
