Forecast Forces Aug. 15 Farmers' Market Indoors

The market will make a weather-induced move indoors this week.

Weather that is good for farmers isn't always good for farmers' markets.

But the Wayland Summer Farmers' Market is prepared to compensate as rain fills the forecast for Aug. 15.

The weekly Wednesday market is usually held in the outdoor, courtyard area at . On Aug. 15, however, the market will take place during normal hours, but will happen indoors.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Wednesday, so the entire Summer Farmers' Market will be set up indoors.

A storytime and craft for children, put on by the Sudbury Cooperative Preschool, will take place from noon to 2 p.m., and lunch will be available in the houseplant greenhouse.
