Florida Man Fighting for Life After Bad Crash in Westford
Eric Durant, 39, of Lakeworth, Florida, was transported by a medical helicopter after police said he crashed his Lexus on Route 495.

A Florida man is fighting for his life after a bad crash in Westford Sunday.
The crash happened on Route 495 northbound at about 5 p.m. A child passenger suffered minor injuries. A medical helicopter landed on the highway to transport the man to the hospital.
State Police identified the man as Eric Durant, 39, of Lakeworth, Florida, according to the Lowell Sun’s Robert Mills, and Durant was listed in critical condition Monday at Brigham & Women’s Hospital.

State Police said Durant was driving a 2005 Lexus when for some reason he crossed three lanes of traffic and crashed in a grassy area.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
