The public is invited to a community meeting to gauge interest in reopening the Havey Beach Boathouse for use. The meeting takes place Nov. 15, 7p.m. at the West Roxbury Pub Function Room.
The boathouse at the Havey Beach site was recently renovated, but remains boarded up and unused. The land and structure are owned and maintained by the state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
All local community groups have been invited and the public is asked to attend to provide input on reopening the Havey Boathouse. The project will not include allowing swimming at the area. Dedham residents who might be affected by a lease of the area have also been invited to attend.
