Community Meeting to discuss 1230 VFW Parkway

Tai Lim of the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Chris Tracy, West Roxbury neighborhood coordinator for the Mayor's Neighborhood services department are hosting an community meeting to discuss the changes at 1230 VFW Parkway (old Stop & Shop) on Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at West Roxbury Education Complex's Auditorium.

The building has been rehabilitated and two new tenants are expected to come in soon. The anchor tenant will be Savers, who are moving from their Rt 1 location. The other tenant is expected to be a gymnasium. The project looks like its going to be "as of right" and not need any zoning relief; so this meeting is to notify the abutting neighborhood and keep the abreast of the changes. The abutting streets will be receive a flyer. In past meetings about this site, issues on traffic and speeding seem to come up often, so Tracy requested an officer from Area E-5 be present.
