The City of Boston Public Works Department will recycle and safely dispose of residents’ household hazardous products, electronics, propane tanks and tires at parking lots at UMass and the Bayside Expo.
Hazardous Waste from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Massachusetts, Boston Harbor Campus, in Parking Lot D located off Morrissey Blvd. Dorchester. Residents can bring up to 50 pounds of products labeled toxic, flammable, reactive, corrosive, or poisonous; such as paint, motor oil, pesticides, solvents, glues, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, weed killers, photos chemicals, pool chemicals, tires, car batteries, propane tanks and used motor oil.

- Hazardous waste from commercial business will not be accepted.
- Residents must have proof of Boston residency.
- The City of Boston has the right to reject inappropriate materials.
- This is the last year Latex Paint will be accepted at the Haz Waste Drop-off
Electronics and Paper Shredding from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the former Bayside Expo Parking Lot off Mt. Vernon Street, Dorchester. Residents can bring their computers, monitors, TVs, LCD panels, printers, fax machines, copiers, stereos, cell and telephones, microwaves, electronic games, VCRs, circuit boards, and other household electronic devices.
