Police Log: Suspicious Package, BB Pellets Smash Window

Wrong Package in Mail

Dec. 29, 10:14 a.m. - Westwood Police responded to a Pond Street residence after receiving a report of a suspicious package that arrived through the mail.

The package, police said, was not one the resident of the home had ordered.

Police later determined the package to be a benign item.

Pellets Damage Chickadee Lane Home

Jan. 2, 10:42 a.m. - A resident of Chickadee Lane reported to police that a number of BB pellets were found to penetrate one of the windows in the home.

In total, at least 5-6 pellets were located on the property, police said. It is believed that the pellets damaged the window sometime around10:30 p.m. on Jan. 1.

The matter is under investigation.
