Westwood Fire Log: Kitchen Fire on Sunrise Road, Burst Pipe on Lake Shore Drive
Fire officials remove an oven from one home and respond to a broken pipe in another.
March 8, 8:16 p.m. - The Westwood Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a home on Sunrise Road.
Upon arrival, fire officials determined that a small fire had been sparked as a result of a malfunctioning oven, which was disconnected and removed from the home, according to reports. No injuries were reported.
March 9, 9:21 a.m. - Fire officials responded to Lake Shore Drive after receiving a report of a burst pipe.
The pipe, according to fire officials, was a heating pipe that broke as a result of water and steam damage. No injuries were reported.
