Westwood Police Log: Budget Inn Disturbance, Cab Fare Difficulty Ensues
A few suspicious characters were seen looking in a car at the Budget Inn, and a man refused to pay cab fare.

January 14, 5:28 a.m. – Westwood Police responded to the Budget Inn on Providence Highway after receiving reports that two individuals had been looking into the back of a tenant’s parked car in the lot.
One of the individuals was described as being a white male with black hair, while the other reportedly had been wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black jacket.
The individuals were gone upon police arrival.

January 15, 5:22 a.m. – A cab driver reported to Westwood Police that a customer was refusing to pay his cab fare upon exiting the vehicle.
Police responded to the area and placed the customer – a 22-year-old male from Hollis, New Hampshire – into protective custody due to the influence of alcohol.

The man did eventually pay the cab driver upon police arrival, according to reports, and the cab was sent on its way.
