Westwood Police Log: Checks Uttered at Citizens, Needham Bank

Citizens Bank Incident
Nov. 7, 1:39 p.m. - Westwood Police investigated an incident involving checks that were uttered at the branch of Citizens Bank on Washington Street.
The investigation was initiated by the Norwood Police Department, according to Westwood Police, and as a result of that investigation, a criminal complaint was submitted for several counts of uttering and forgery of false checks.

The incident involved three different checks with a total value of about $375.
The matter remains under investigation.

Needham Bank Incident
Nov. 10, 4:05 p.m. - A similar incident took place at the Needham Bank on Washington Street.
Westwood Police filed a criminal complain against a female resident of Roxbury for uttering and forgery by check at the bank.
The dollar amount in this incident totaled to a little more than $1200, police said. While the uttering took place at the Needham Bank in Westwood, theft of the actual checks took place in a number of different jurisdictions.
