Westwood Police Log: Driver Cited, Abandoned Car Found
Police issue a citation for a driver and locate a damaged car that was abandoned at Deerfield Elementary.

March 18, 11:03 p.m. - Westwood Police cited the driver of a 2002 BMW on Clapboardtree Street for a marked lanes violation and a failure to stop violation.
The citation was issued after an offier pulled the vehicle over for crossing the double yellow lines in the middle of the road several times while driving on Milk Street. After pulling the vehicle over, police approached the driver, who began to slowly move the vehicle, according to reports. The driver stated to police that they were trying to park, and the car officially came to a stop after hitting a telephone pole.
March 22, 1:33 a.m. - While on routine patrol, a Westwood Police officer discovered a 1997 Toyota parked at the . The car reportedly had sustained heavy front-end damage, though there were no occupants in the vehicle.
After contacting the registered owner, police discovered that she was unaware that the vehicle was missing from her driveway. A neighboring agency was notified, took a stolen vehicle report and the car was moved from the parking lot. The registered owner was notified of the whereabouts.
