Westwood Police Log: Drivers Cited in Motor Vehicle Stops

April 19, 11:19 a.m. - Westwood Police pulled over a vehicle on Nahatan Street for a traffic violation, an incident that resulted in the criminal summons of a 16-year-old female.

The driver was cited for driving the vehicle, a blue Volvo, without a license, according to police reports. The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

April 20, 2:34 a.m. - While on early-morning patrol, a Westwood Police officer pulled over a vehicle at the corner of Brookfield Road and Washington Street for a defective rear license plate light. 

Upon making contact with the operator, the scent of marijuana was detected coming from within the car, according to reports. The driver was cited for the defective license plate light, and police confiscated a small quantity of marijuana.
