Westwood Police Log: Laptop, Trombone Reported Stolen

Theft of Laptop at Roche Bros. 

Sept. 27, 8:18 a.m. - Westwood Police responded to on Washington Street, where a customer reported that while shopping at the grocery store, his laptop had been stolen from his vehicle. 

The laptop, according to reports, was in the passenger compartment of the customer's vehicle, the back passenger window of which was open at the time. Police said it was also possible that the front passenger window may have been open as well.

The laptop in question is a gray Dell Notebook computer. Police did not have an estimate as to the laptop's dollar value. 

Trombone Goes Missing

Sept. 28, 11:15 a.m. - A student at reported to police that his trombone, valued at about $500, had been stolen on school grounds. 

The instrument, according to reports, was stored with instruments of other students in a room at the school. It had been three weeks since the student last saw the instrument. 

Police said it is not certain if there was criminal intent in the trombone's disappearance.
