Westwood Police Log: Lawn Damaged, Vandalism at NStar

Possible Deliberate Lawn Damage on Margery Lane 

July 20, 8:57 a.m. - responded to a residence on Margery Lane after receiving a report that the lawn of the home had been damaged by a motor vehicle. 

Specifically, tire tracks that began on the roadway cut the corner and ended up straight onto the victim's lawn, tearing apart the grass in various spots.

There were no skid marks on either end of the tire trail, indicating that the incident did not appear to be from an accident; police said the matter looked to be more deliberate in nature. 

The matter is under investigation.

Tree Cut Down at NStar

July 20, 1:32 p.m. - A property manager at the NStar building off of University Avenue reported to police that vandalism had taken place on the property.

Specifically, the manager reported that a tree on the property was cut down.  Review of the surveillance footage is ongoing, police said. The matter remains under investigation.
