• Town Manager Chris Senior isn't the mayor, he just runs the town (winchesternews.org) — Winchester's new town manager, Chris Senior, is the behind-the-scenes administrator keeping town services running, even though Winchester has no mayor. He oversees department heads, shapes the budget after the failed override, and works with boards and Town Meeting to maintain everything from classrooms to plowed roads while trying to make it easier for residents to get problems solved quickly.

• Network for Social Justice Summer Leadership Program lifts up student voices (winchesternews.org) — Winchester teens joined peers from Woburn for a weeklong Network for Social Justice leadership program based at Winchester High School, exploring civic engagement, racial justice, mental health, and AI in schools. Funded in part by Winchester Hospital, Winchester Cooperative Bank, and the Cummings Foundation, the program took students from local discussions to the State House and Boston Common, helping them build confidence and community connections.
