Signs on My Neighbor's Lawn: hopes and fears during elections
A community discussion about election fears and concerns
How are you feeling about the coming election and the state of our country? Need a safe, comfortable space to share your experiences and views, strong feelings, vulnerabilities, questions, confusion, and visions for the future, whatever they may be?
“Signs on My Neighbor’s Lawn: Hopes and Fears During Elections” is the theme for the Multicultural Network’s program on Tuesday evening, October 18 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road.
The program will feature True Story Theater, an improvisational theater group that has become popular in Arlington, Winchester, and other towns over the past few years. True Story’s mission is “to promote social healing through theater” through performances informed by the real-life stories and perspectives of audience members.

“Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, we all have hopes and fears in this election year and it is important for our community to share our differing perspectives in a respectful dialogue,” says Aba Taylor, the Multicultural Network’s Executive Director. “With the Network’s mission to promote respect, appreciation and understanding of diverse experiences and viewpoints, we must find ways to embrace our neighbors no matter what side of the fence you find yourself on,” Taylor adds. “This event is not an evening of political debate or candidate-bashing, but rather a sharing of anticipation about our future.”
The program is free and all are welcome.
