Winchester Police continue to search for a suspect who allegedly beat his mother to death in her Winchester home.Police released a photo of <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/winchester/police-search-man-alleged-beating-death-mother-0#.VD6E1GBX-uY">Matthew McAveeney</a>, 46, who is wanted for armed assault with intent to murder Barbara McAveeney, his mother, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury to her, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon on a person 60 years of age or older, assault and battery and two counts of cruelty to animals.According to <a href="http://www.whdh.com/story/26786512/arrest-warrant-issued-for-son-of-murdered-winchester-woman" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">7News</a>, the body of Barbara McAveeney was found in her Swanton Street residence after being there for days.<a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/winchester/death-winchester-being-investigated-0">Police found her during a well being check</a> after complaints about a smell coming from the apartment.Police are asking anyone with information to contact Winchester Police at 781-729-1212.
