Winchester Voter's Guide: Nov. 8 State, Presidential Election

WINCHESTER, MA – This election day, you have some important decisions to make. You handle who to vote for, we'll give you everything you need to get into the voting booth.
Who/What's on the ballot:
Aside from the four presidential candidates making national headlines, here are some of the other notable names and items on the ballot.
- Congresswoman Katherine Clark is running unopposed
- In the most highly-publicized local race, incumbent State Rep. Michael Day will run against challenger Caroline Colarusso in the race for the 31st Middlesex District State Representative seat.
- Incumbent 5th Middlesex District Senator Jason Lewis will be challenged by Republican Vincent Dixon of Winchester.
- Governor's Councilor Terrence Kennedy, Senator Patricia Jehlen and Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian are all running unopposed.
- There are four questions on the ballot this year: Slot licenses, charter schools, free-range chickens, and recreational marijuana. Read our rundown on the ballot questions here.

When to vote:
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If you make the line by 8 p.m., you're allowed to vote.
Some people chose to vote early this year. Massachusetts allowed early voting for the first time from Oct. 24 to Nov. 4.
