SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. SFD faculty and students are active partners in our local community, collaborating regularly with organizations and businesses through internships, exhibitions, field trips, and special events. Shop in-store on November 18th or 19th and online through November 24th and the Shamrock library will receive a percentage of every sale. The Shamrock has an event filled evening plannned on Friday night starting at 6:00pm. Shamrock Principal, Wayne Clark will start off with a storytime featuring a selection of his favorite books, followed by Barnes &amp; Noble favorite Mr. Ed. The Shamrock's After the Bell students will be showcasing the artwork they have created through the ArtInspires program as well! Anna Stanizewski, author of My Very Un-Fairytale Life will finish up our evening with an interactive student discussion at 7pm, and she will be autographing copies of her book. Start your holiday shopping early and support the Shamrock School at the same time. All items in-store are eligible from the cafe to calendars, educational toys, teaching aids, music, video and of course BOOKS!
