School of Fashion Design

Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. WREN president and local "Naturalist", Gerry Kehoe (better known as "Woburn's Mother Nature") will be leading an "Evening History Stroll" around Horn Pond (Lake Innitou) on Saturday, September 17th.   For the "Walk" please meet at Ice House Park on Sturgis Street (North end of the Pond) at 4:45 pm.  Gerry will start her talk there and will move counter clockwise around the Pond.  The walk will be from 5:00 to about 7:00 PM.   Please wear good walking shoes and bug spray is advised.  By all means bring you cameras, snacks and drinks if you like.
