All are welcome to join us for Lenten Evening Prayer (Vespers) from the Liturgy of the Hours. The Liturgy of the Hours is often called the ‘Divine Office’ or the ‘Prayer of the Church’ because so many people all over the world (priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters, and also countless lay people) use this form of prayer to mark or ‘make holy’ the various ‘hours’ of the day: morning, daytime, evening, and night. Evening Prayer is a beautiful (and easy to learn) way to sanctify the end of a long workday by praying the psalms and scriptures in communion with others here at Saint Charles and throughout the world. It’s also a great way to meet and pray with fellow parishioners.
