Hospice volunteer training

Do you have the Heart of Hospice? Become a Beacon Hospice volunteer.

A hospice volunteer offers companionship, support, a helping hand to patients with terminal illnesses. No matter who you are, you have something to offer hospice patients. You can make a profound difference in a person's life whether it is a 15 minute visit, writing letters, playing music, or just sitting quietly, holding a patient's hand. Volunteers play an integral role in Beacon Hospice's team approach to care that focuses on comfort, dignity and peace for the patient and their family.

Volunteers must complete a comprehensive training program and receive on-going support. Our next training begins on Thursday March 1st 6-9pm at our Charlestown office. Other training times/locations are available.
