POLICE LOG: Couple Argues Over Cooking Dinner
An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
Dec. 16 –
At 12:04 p.m., a Lexington Street man reported a car tire punctured and vandalized overnight. According to police, a sharp object was intentionally pushed through the tire’s sidewall.

At 12:25 p.m., Marc Piro, 18, of 23 Buckingham in Wilmington, was arrested and charged with failure to yield at an intersection and possession with the intent to distribute a Class D substance (marijuana). According to police, officers were conducting routine traffic patrol on Main Street when Piro nearly caused a major accident near the Route 128 rotary. Police pulled Piro’s car over and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle.
At 12:27 p.m., an Andover woman reported her hearing aid was stolen while she was at Skyworks on Sylvan Road. According to police, the woman took her hearing aid off and left it on a conference room table. When the woman packed up to leave, she told police the hearing aid was missing.

At 3:01 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Mishawum Road. According to police, a car was taking a left when it was rear-ended by another. No injuries were reported.
At 3:37 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident at the Route 128/38 rotary. There were no injuries reported.
At 3:59 p.m., police responded to Albert Drive for a medical aid.
At 4:28 p.m., Michael Brian Belt, 26, of 10 Middlesex Ave. in Wilmington, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class B substance (Oxycodone)(subsequent offense), possession to distribute a Class C substance (Clonazepam)(two counts, subsequent offense), and drug violation near a school/park. According to police, Belt was taken into custody during an ongoing Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force investigation on Lexington Street.
At 5:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of a threats made against youths. The boys’ parents said they did not wish to pursue a criminal complaint, but did want the incident documented with the police department.
At 6:22 p.m., police were dispatched to King Gas for a report of a civil dispute over money and a credit card machine.
At 6:57 p.m., a Cedar Street woman reported her car damaged while in the Jefferson Crossing apartments parking lot. According to police, there was a large dent/scratch on the car’s roof.
At 7:19 p.m., police responded to Planet Fitness for a report of a motor vehicle break-in. According to police, a woman’s purse was stolen. The woman said one of her credit cards was used 20 minutes after she parked her car. Police are investigating video surveillance of the crime.
At 8:32 p.m., A Hudson, HS woman reported her handbag stolen from her car while it was parked at the Boston Rock Gym on Olympia Avenue. The woman’s bag was found in the Senior Center parking lot on School Street, said police. The woman told police that nothing was missing from her bag.
Dec. 17 –
At 12:45 a.m., David S. Buxbaum, 25, of 314 Montvale Ave. Apt. #1, was arrested and charged with assault and battery (domestic), intimidating a witness and malicious destruction of property under $250. According to police, Buxbaum was taken into custody when he voluntarily entered the police station at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 to discuss a domestic incident that occurred the night before and was reported at 12:45 a.m.
At 1:17 a.m., a Jefferson Court woman reported her home broken into and four DVD movies stolen. Nothing else was taken from the home, said police.
At 1:28 a.m., police were dispatched to Kilby Street for a report of a young woman standing outside crying. Police found a 25-year-old woman crying on the sidewalk, not wearing shoes. The woman said she argued with her mother verbally. A friend of the woman’s picked her up and brought her to another residence for the night, said police.
At 2:50 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Mishawum Road. According to police, a couple argued and was separated for the night.
At 5:24 p.m., a Montvale Avenue man reported his car windshield shattered by an object.
At 6:20 p.m., police responded to a Salem Street home for a report of jewelry stolen over the last few days. According to police, a Juicy Couture watch, gold wedding band and diamond ring were stolen.
At 6:33 p.m., police were dispatched to Francis Road for a disturbance call. According to police, a man and woman were arguing over cooking dinner. The woman told police the man was “aggravating her” and the man said the woman was telling him he was “cooking wrong.” The pair was separated for the night.
At 11:13 p.m., a driver was cited for failure to yield at an intersection after police responded to a two-car accident at Cambridge and Bedford roads.
Dec. 18 –
At 8:56 a.m., a Hiawatha Road resident reported his mailbox damaged overnight. According to police, the pressure-treated wood post was snapped in two.
At 10:26 a.m., a Burlington man reported his car vandalized while it was parked on Janis Terrace overnight. According to police, the car’s passenger-side mirror was struck and a bottle of beer was poured on the vehicle. An unbroken bottle of Bud Light was found next to the car, said police.
At 3:41 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident on Green Street in which one vehicle rear-ended another. There were no reported injuries.
At 4:20 p.m., police responded to High Street for a report of a car parked on the sidewalk and road. According to police, the man was involved in an accident on Green Street (see previous entry) and appeared to be medically-impaired. The man refused further medical treatment by Woburn Fire, said police.
At 6:02 p.m., a Lynn woman came into the police station to report a lost wallet. According to the woman, she lost her wallet, probably at the Woburn Mall, and one of her credit cards had been used to purchase something in New Hampshire.
