Registration Still Open for Woburn Adult Evening School

Classes include fitness, cake decorating, business and more!

 

The is still accepting registrations for the Spring 2011 term.

Registration by mail closes on Friday, March 9; classes begin on March 13.

Interested adults may also register in person tomorrow night (March 6) and March 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. or on the first night of classes. However, classes often fill up before the first night, according to the school.

In addition to classes in several categories, Adult Evening School Director Edward Kaufman said a GED course is also available. The GED test will be held in May.

Classes will be held in several categories, including:

  • Health & Fitness
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Cooking
  • Business
  • Computer Training
  • Learning
  • Babysitting (class is for students in Grades 6 through 8)

 

Some highlights of the semester?

  • Eliminating Food Cravings with Hypnosis (two-week course)
  • Crocheting Made Easy (eight-week session)
  • Cake Decorating (eight-week session)
  • Real Estate Sales-Person Pre-Licensing (eight-week session)
  • Introduction to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (eight-week session)
  • Preparing for the GED (five classes)
  • Ebay (one class)
  • Interior Design (three classes)

 

The Woburn Adult Evening School classes are held as scheduled, unless the Woburn Public Schools are closed that day due to inclement weather. The Evening School is also closed on April 17 and 19.

Costs of courses are determined by the course—click on the PDF attached to this article for tuition information and a printable registration form! Seniors (60-years-old and older) may subtract 25 percent from the tuition, while non-residents must add $3.
