Salem City Councilor Flynn Also Running For Reelection

Flynn joins Ward 5 Councilor Josh Turiel in announcing plans to run for another term on Salem City Council.

SALEM, MA -- Ward 4 city councilman Tim Flynn is running for reelection. The 2019 city election will be on election day in November. Flynn, a lieutenant with the Salem Fire Department, was elected in 2017 in what was then his first run for political office.

"I am committed to serving Ward 4 to the best of my ability. It is important to bring a strong voice to city hall for the Ward you represent," Flynn said Wednesday. "I strive to give 110% and think of the residents of Ward 4 as part of my family."

Ward 5 City Councilor Josh Turiel also said this week he plans to run for reelection. Last month, At-Large City Councilor Tom Furey said he would not run for reelection. Salem City Council is made up of four at-large councilors and one councilor from each of the seven wards.
