Waverley Oaks Athletic Club has been named a winner in the 5th Annual MXM Locations of Excellence Awards. This recognition is a testament to Waverley Oaks’ ability to gather and act on member feedback and be a leader in providing exceptional member experience. Waverley Oaks, a fourth-time winner of the award, is one of 35 gyms in North America to receive this award.

“Waverley Oaks Athletic Club is a model of member experience excellence for fitness clubs around the world,” said Blair McHaney, CEO of MXM, Medallia's partner to the fitness industry. “The MXM Locations of Excellence Award Winners optimize putting the customer at the center of club operations. Just ask their members; because we have.”

“The key to our success is that the members are a vital part of the decision-making process,” explains Adam Healy, General Manager at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club. “That combined with our 40+ years of experience and knowledge, dedicated and passionate team members, and first-rate facilities.”

Waverley Oaks Athletic Club opened as a racquetball club in 1979 and since then has been owned and operated by Duffy Properties, a Waltham-based, family-owned Property Management, Construction and Real Estate Development company. In 2015 the Club underwent a complete renovation transforming it into a full-service club and modern state-of-the-art 50,000 square foot facility. Another renovation was completed in 2022, repurposing nearly 2,000 sq. ft. of space.

“Medallia’s platform allows us to seamlessly engage with the diverse population at our club and understand what matters most to them,” says Healy. “In 2023 we introduced new and additional classes and programs to our already robust offerings and expanded our childcare hours to accommodate the needs and interests of our members.”
