We have everything you need to know to get the new year off to a great start.

WOBURN, MA -- The more than 4,500 students in Woburn head back to school on September 6. It may be the last time Woburn students go back to school after Labor Day, as the school committee is considering a major change to the school calendar. The school committee is also expected to consider changes to school start times this year.
Matthew Crowl;ey begins his first full year as superintendent. He had been interim superintendent before being permanently named to the post by the School Committee in January. Crowley has been with the district as an assistant superintendent since October 2015.
But for 2018-19, it's business as usual for Woburn Public Schools. The school system has scheduled several back to school nights, including September 12 for middle school students, September 13 for elementary school students and September 20 for high school students. The district has six elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school. School assignments can be determined by consulting the school district street directory.
