Woburn Company's Asphalt Compact Roller Damages Fence

The damage was caused due to a faulty parking break system.

WORCESTER, MA—An asphalt compact roller beloning to Woburn-based Asphalt Services, Inc. rolled off a trailer Thursday and damaged a fence in Worcester.

Worcester Police announced Thursday that an asphalt compact roller had rolled off the trailer it was parked on and crashed through a fence owned by Voke Lofts. No one was injured during the incident and there were no violations noted.

Worcester Police were told that an employee had loaded the roller on to a trailer, with the equipment rolling off the trailer as the employee had went to load another piece of equipment. The roller traveled across Salisbury St., causing damage to the granite curbing before hitting the Voke Lofts fence.
