5 Shootings In Worcester During Overnight Hours

Worcester police said officers were alerted to the shootings via the department's ShotSpotter gunfire detection equipment.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police responded to five reports of gunfire in the overnight hours between Wednesday and Thursday, the department said.

There were no reports of injuries or property damage. The shootings were scattered over an area between Union Hill and Main South, according to police.

Two of the shootings on Union Hill were within blocks of each other at 129 Dorchester St. and 46 Cutler St. The other shootings were at 38 May St. and 12 Lodi St., which are both west of Interstate 290.
