WORCESTER, MA — A hit musical comedy is headed to Worcester for a three-day run later this summer.
"Mrs. Doubtfire" will be at The Hanover Theatre, at 551 Main St, from Jun. 26 to Jun. 28. The production is based on the 1993 film starring Robin Williams, and follows out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard, who creates the Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire after losing custody of his children in a divorce.
Craig Allen Smith will star as Daniel Hillard and Mrs. Doubtfire, and Melissa Campbell will play Miranda Hillard.
The musical features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, with music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, and the production is based on the original direction by Jerry Zaks.

"Mrs. Doubtfire" is just one of the exciting things happening at The Hanover Theatre this year.
Earlier this month, the center announced Theresa Caputo, the television personality better known to fans as the “Long Island Medium,” would perform on Thursday, Jun. 11.
Plus, Comedian Bert Kreischer is bringing his "Permission to Party World Tour" to Central Massachusetts, with a stop at The Hanover Theatre. The show, which is set for Nov. 14 at 7 p.m., is part of newly added dates extending the tour through the end of 2026.
