Daniel Horwitz to Showcase Experimental Rabbinic Project at Exclusive Global Summit in Jerusalem
Horwitz selected to participate in ROI Community Global Summit, June 26-30

HUNTINGTON WOODS, Mich. — Rabbi Daniel Horwitz of Huntington Woods, who is the founding director of Detroit’s The Well, has been selected to participate in the 2016 ROI Global Summit in Jerusalem, an exclusive, high-profile gathering of young global innovators taking place June 26-30.
Horwitz founded The Well to build Jewish community for Jews not involved in traditional communal institutions, with the idea that Jewish values can apply to people’s lives and help them better the world. Joining with many local organizations, The Well has created dozens of programs that have engaged hundreds of people, with events like a “Men’s Whiskey Appreciator’s Group” and provocative discussions on issues such as “Is Free Speech Good for the Jews” or “Let Our People Go: The Plague of Mass Incarceration in the U.S.” For more details on Daniel, please visit: https://www.schusterman.org/users/daniel-horwitz-1.
Thanks to his extraordinary vision and innovation, Dan was selected among 150 of the Jewish world’s leading young change makers from 29 countries who will convene for intensive networking, skill-building and ideation at the 2016 ROI Global Summit, the flagship program of ROI Community, an initiative of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation.
