BYA's 33rd Annual Kids' Dog Show

Tricks and Treat Catching –It’s Time Again for the BYA Annual Kids’ Dog Show



Winners
and waggers of all shapes and sizes will be in action during the 33rd
Annual Birmingham Youth Assistance Kids’ Dog Show on Sunday, February 2nd
at Berkshire Middle School. 


Registration
is open through January 29th to children aged 4-14. Families wishing
to participate can visit www.birminghamyouthassistance.org or call (248)

The cost is just $10 per dog and includes entry for the whole family, a premium
goodie bag, a free bag of dog food and participation in up to two different performance
categories.  If you would like to just
come and watch the show, a donation at the door is greatly appreciated.


Shannon
Murphy from the 95.5 MOJO in the Morning radio program will join a panel of
judges to help determine champions in the categories of Best Dog Costume, Best
Behaved, Most Personality, Best Trick, Best Looking, and our two newest
categories Best Treat Catcher and Waggiest Tail.

Professionals
will hold obedience demonstrations and answer live questions about training, grooming,
your dog’s health and nutrition during the new Ask The Expert feature that will
run throughout the program.  A DJ, photo booth, giveaways and many
other new features are still in the works. 
The official event t-shirt will again feature winning artwork from a
local student.

Gannon, the Chairperson of BYA says, “Hundreds of volunteer hours and donations
from many generous sponsors help make this a really fun and special event for
our community while helping to support the cause of BYA.  We hope to see everyone there!”


The 33rd Annual Kids’ Dog Show is hosted by
Birmingham Youth Assistance together with Birmingham Public Schools.  Our sponsors include Premier Pet Supply,
Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club, Beverly Hills Veterinary Associates,
and Canine Couture Grooming. Berkshire Middle School is located at 21707 West
14 Mile Road in Beverly Hills, Michigan. 
The event runs 1:00–3:00 pm; with sign-in for participants starting at
noon.


BYA is a partnership of the Oakland County Circuit Court-Family
Division; the City of Birmingham and the Villages of Beverly Hills, Bingham
Farms and Franklin; the Birmingham Public Schools; and community volunteers.
