• Worker killed after getting pinned under his vehicle (newsbreak.com) — A 57‑year‑old worker from Dearborn Heights died Wednesday afternoon in Birmingham after becoming pinned under his construction truck on Redding Road while trying to fix a mechanical problem with a lift axle. Birmingham police say the man pulled over to investigate the issue when the system engaged, trapping him beneath the vehicle; state workplace safety officials are tracking this among Michigan's 38 work‑related deaths this year.
